Closing the Gap

One moment can change your life forever. The mystery is navigating your next steps.

It all started on a cold November evening… but, let’s not go there.

January 2019 began with a bang. I made a major move to Colorado, and this little southern girl was in for the ride of her life—part good, part bad. It was uphill. It was downhill. Perilous one day, victorious the next.

Okay, okay, you get it. Moving on…

In a nutshell, 2019 was the best and the worst. The move to Colorado was an amazing moment in life full of hard truth, restoration, reconciliation and healing for my husband and me. Through it all, I’ve learned to live with a grateful heart for the smallest of blessings.

We can NEVER be thankful enough.

Things are settling down after three surgeries on my husband, a lymphoma diagnosis, followed by chemo and scans, scans, and more scans. Pile on to that a job change, another major move east, and well, what we’re looking at is… life.

No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. ~Romans 8:37 (NLT)

While I’m painting with a broad brush, buried within the strokes are many details that remain privately hidden… for now.

As blessed and thankful as I am, life still bites. Hard. It hurts. It leaves scars. But we move forward, because backward is not an option.

Life is and always will be a mystery. But I just love a good mystery, don’t you? I can’t wait to see you in my next post as we delve into the mysteries of life.

I’m excited to introduce you to a couple of friends who will be joining me as guest bloggers! Check out Connie Clyburn’s and Joann Claypoole’s blogs and look for them to join us soon!
